The MSc Financial Management recognises that today's business managers need to be able to interpret financial information and use it to guide business strategy, There is a strong emphasis in the programme on the development of personal managerial skills and the application of the critical and analytical skills needed by contemporary financial managers.
We encourage applications from individuals of all disciplines who currently hold degree and/or professional qualifications. We also encourage applications from individuals with professional, leadership and managerial experience who may be admitted onto a master’s programme at the discretion of the Programme Director. Applicants must be over 21 years of age and possess one or more of the following: A recognised Honours degree or equivalent. A professional qualification. Applicants who are over 25 years of age and do not meet the above criteria may be admitted to the course provided their professional or managerial experience is deemed to be appropriate. Applicants who have a relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) at credit level 7 are likely to be admitted with exemption from modules in Part 1.They are likely to only have to complete the dissertation in order to gain the MSc. An IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no lower than 5.5 in reading writing, listening and speaking.
