Curriculum structure

  • Foundations & Understanding Consumers
    You’ll start with modules like Brand Strategy, Consumer Psychology and Research, and Advertising Management, where you explore how to build and manage brand identities, understand what drives consumer choices, and design effective advertising campaigns rooted in real insight.

  • Core Communications and Media
    Modules such as Digital Marketing and Innovation, Promotional, Direct & Relationship Marketing, and Public Relations and Reputation Management prepare you to navigate both traditional and digital marketing channels. You’ll learn to plan integrated campaigns across social media, PR, direct marketing, and other platforms.

  • Integrated Campaign Project
    Throughout the year, the Integrated Marketing Communications Project lets you bring all your learning together. You’ll develop a full-scale marketing campaign for a real or realistic client, applying brand strategy, consumer insight, media planning, and either creative or analytical approaches depending on your chosen route.

  • Specialisation: Creative or Data-Driven
    In the first semester, you choose your path. The MA route focuses on Creative Development – Strategy and Process, ideal if you want to work in agency-style creative planning. The MSc route focuses on Data Analytics for Marketing, teaching you data collection, analysis (using tools like SPSS), and using insights to guide marketing communications.
