King’s College London’s MSc Artificial Intelligence is the perfect launchpad for driven students eager to build expertise at the forefront of intelligent systems. Curriculum structure

During the first semester, students are immersed in foundational subjects like Agents & Multi-Agent Systems, Pattern Recognition, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning, ensuring a rigorous understanding of how modern AI learns, senses, and acts. In the second semester, you can tailor the course to your ambitions—whether diving deeper into Nature-Inspired Learning Algorithms, exploring the Philosophy & Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, or building hands-on skills through practical electives. Throughout, the teaching blends lectures, group tutorials, and independent projects so you graduate fully prepared for the demands of industry or research.

Summer is dedicated to a major individual project and dissertation, chosen in alignment with your passions or career interests, giving you the chance to solve real-world AI challenges and showcase your abilities to future employers.

  • Industry-Standard AI Software: You'll gain deep proficiency in essential professional tools including TensorFlow and PyTorch for deep learning, Scikit-learn for machine learning, and OpenAI Gym for reinforcement learning, ensuring you're industry-ready upon graduation.

  • The MSc Individual Project: The cornerstone of your degree is a six-month research and development project, where you'll tackle a complex, real-world AI challenge, developing crucial problem-solving and technical skills.

  • Intelligent Systems Laboratory: You'll conduct experiments in our dedicated AI labs, utilising high-performance GPU clusters and computing resources to train and test sophisticated models on large-scale datasets.

  • Robotics and AI Hardware: You'll have access to our robotics equipment, including humanoid robots and autonomous systems, for practical work in embodied AI and intelligent agents.

    • Computing graduates from King’s earn about £36,000 around 15 months after completing the course; after 3 years it rises to around £44,000, and at 5 years to roughly £53,700

    • About 85% of students go on to work and/or further study within 15 months of graduating.
