MSc Artificial Intelligence

The MSc Artificial Intelligence at the University of South Wales gives students broad and practical training in AI, including machine learning, deep learning, data science and autonomous systems. Curriculum Structure:
In the one-year full-time programme, students begin with modules such as Principles of Computing, Applied Statistics for Data Science, and Computational Applications of Artificial Intelligence, where they learn programming, data analysis, statistical methods, and foundational AI techniques applied to real-world data.  They then study Knowledge-Based Systems, Machine Learning and Autonomous Systems, and Deep Learning, developing skills in designing intelligent agents, building ML and deep-learning models, and applying AI to tasks like visual recognition, language processing, and autonomous decision-making. The programme culminates in an MSc Project, where students carry out an independent research or development project—integrating their knowledge to solve a significant AI problem or build a complete AI system.
