Program Overview

The MSc Data Analytics at the University of Portsmouth is a 12-month (or 16 month if you join in January), full-time postgraduate program designed to develop technical expertise in data mining, machine learning, cloud-based systems, and business intelligence.

Accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS), it partially fulfils the educational requirements for CITP and CEng.

The course offers flexible start dates in September and January and is suitable for UK, EU, and international students, including those without a traditional computing background but with relevant experience. Emphasis is placed on practical application through real-world data, industry collaboration, and hands-on use of tools like Python, Hadoop, Spark, and Tableau.
