1 Year On Campus Masters Program
This programme explores psychological wellbeing in practice, specifically in relation to children and young people s services. Students will be introduced to important theoretical and practical frameworks, which will encourage systemic and life-course thinking. Students will have the opportunity to develop their practical psychological skills in assessment, formulation and intervention planning; as well as their awareness of themselves as practitioners. Importantly, students will undertake specific units on childhood wellbeing and development, critically considering psychological theories, such as attachment theory, which can be applied to practice based situations to facilitate a critical understanding of evidence-based practices. Students will learn how developmental, societal and environmental challenges and disadvantages influence all aspects of young people s lives and how protective factors can be identified and nurtured.
