Glasgow Caledonian UniversityThe MEng/BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering program equips you with the knowledge and skills to compete for various job opportunities both in the UK and internationally. Please note that the entry requirements provided below are intended as a guideline and represent the minimum qualifications necessary for consideration. Applicants who receive a conditional offer may be required to meet additional criteria. Year 1 Scottish Higher: Standard entry requirement: BBBB, including Mathematics and a Science or Technology subject, along with English Nat 5 grade C. Minimum entry requirement: BBBC, including Mathematics and a Science or Technology subject at a Higher level, plus English Nat 5 grade C. The minimum entry requirements are specifically for widening access students. If you belong to a group that is currently underrepresented in higher education, you may qualify as a widening access student. This can include residing in a target postcode area, attending a target school or college, participating in the SWAP program, being a care-experienced individual or providing care for someone else, holding refugee status, or being an asylum seeker. A level: BCC, including Mathematics and a Science or Technology subject, and a minimum of a C/4 grade in English GCSE. ILC Higher: H1 H2 H3 H3, including Mathematics and a Science or Technology subject, and English O2. IB Diploma: 26 points, including Mathematics and a Science or Technology subject. BTEC: DMM Extended Diploma in an Engineering subject (subject to unit profile), along with a minimum of a C/4 grade in English GCSE. SWAP: Access to STEM - ABB. Year 2 and Year 3 For direct entry applications, please apply to the BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering program. Students have the option to transfer to the MEng course upon meeting the required results at the end of year four. English language proficiency is measured through an IELTS score of 6.0, with no individual element scoring below 5.5.
