Year 1 Scottish Higher: Standard entry requirement: To be admitted, you need to achieve BBBB at the Higher level, which includes Mathematics along with a Science or Technology subject, and also obtain a grade C in National 5 English. Minimum entry requirement: The minimum criteria for admission are BBBC, including Mathematics and a Science or Technology subject at the Higher level, and a grade C in National 5 English. The minimum entry requirements are exclusively applicable to widening access students. If you belong to a group that is currently underrepresented in higher education, you may qualify as a widening access student. This includes individuals residing in a target postcode area, attending a target school or college, participating in the SWAP program, being a care-experienced individual or a caregiver for someone else, possessing refugee status, or being an asylum seeker. A level: BCC In order to be accepted, you must achieve BCC, which should include Mathematics and a Science or Technology subject, and obtain a grade C/4 in English GCSE. ILC Higher: To be admitted, you need to obtain 26 points, which should include Mathematics and a Science or Technology subject. IB Diploma: To be admitted, you need to obtain 26 points, which should include Mathematics and Physics. BTEC: You must have a DMM Extended Diploma in an Engineering subject (subject to unit profile), and obtain a grade C/4 in English GCSE. SWAP: For Access to STEM, the entry requirement is BBB. Year 2 and Year 3: For direct entry applications, please submit your application for the BEng (Hons) Electrical Power Engineering program. It is possible for students to transfer to the MEng course depending on their results at the end of the fourth year. English language: An IELTS score of 6.0 is required, with no individual element scoring below 5.5.
