This unique MA programme offers you the opportunity to study the plays of Shakespeare and his contemporaries. Students will be able to draw on expertise at both King's and Shakespeare's Globe, studying Shakespeare close to the types of theatres for which he wrote and just a stone's throw from where his plays were originally performed. At the Globe students will learn about early modern playhouses, audiences, performance practices and get to play on the stage and will cover early modern drama and other literary genres, examining Shakespeare alongside his contemporaries.
Bachelor's degree with 2:1 honours in English, Drama or an equivalent subject. In order to meet the academic entry requirements for this programme you should have a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme. If you are still studying you should be achieving an average of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme. IELTS 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in reading & writing and 6.0 in listening & speaking. Writing Sample, Personal Statement and References required.
