Program Overview

In MA Classics and Linguistics, you will combine the study of ancient Greek language and literature with linguistics and linguistic theory with a particular focus on the English language. The study of Greek will give you access to one of the world s great literatures: you will read foundational texts of the western tradition epic, tragedy, philosophy and history in their original language. This will complement your studies in linguistics, and you will thus be given the opportunity to investigate linguistic structures in both a dead and a living language.
