This part time course provides a postgraduate pathway for graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in the area of sport and exercise nutrition. Sound knowledge of sport and exercise nutrition ensures a healthy balance between exercise and diet for a range of athletes, from amateur to elite levels within different sports. Modules studied will include: nutrition and exercise metabolism, nutritional assessment, recommendations and requirements, sport-specific nutrition issues, research design and biostatistics, nutrition for health and disease prevention, evidence-based practice in healthcare sciences, practical sports nutrition and the sport and exercise nutrition research project. This course is offered in Jordanstown campus.
IELTS 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5, Applicants must hold a second class honours degree or better in psychology or sports science a related discipline or an equivalent standard (normally 50%) in a Graduate Diploma, Graduate Certificate, Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma or an approved alternative qualification or demonstrate their ability to undertake the course through the accreditation of prior experiential learning (APEL)
