The Department has a lively and cosmopolitan postgraduate research community and they aim to help you become first class researchers and scholars. A good proportion of their students hold ESRC, AHRC, Faculty or Departmental scholarships, with a small number funded by other internal or external sources. They accept applications for a wide range of proposals and offer expert supervision from staff within the Department and, where necessary, through close relationships with other departments or colleagues in North Western institutions as part of the ESRC and AHRC doctoral training partnerships.
2:1 Hons degree (UK or equivalent) and a good master's degree in History or related discipline. IELTS 6.5 overall with no element less than 5.5 (or equivalent). Viable research proposal required.
