There are two routes through the MA degree which are available to full-time and part-time students. They place considerable emphasis on the development of primary research skills and the enhancement of analytical and written skills. These are essential if you wish to continue on to a research degree. The knowledge and skills you gain by completing our MA will stand you in good stead if you wish to pursue a career within the cultural sector (arts, media, museums and heritage).

To be eligible for this program, you need to hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum classification of 2:1 or higher in a relevant field. Students who have obtained a 2:2 honours degree will be assessed on an individual basis.

An interview will be mandatory as part of the admission process.

For non-native English speakers, a satisfactory level of English language proficiency is required. The minimum accepted score is IELTS 6.5 (with no sub-score lower than 5.5), or an equivalent qualification.
