Program Overview

This new MRes has been designed to provide you with an opportunity to develop your research skills in applied medical ethics. It provides an excellent stepping stone to PhD research.In your first year you will begin with intensive research methods training which will allow you to develop your skills under the supervision of expert tutors. You ll gain a range of skills and valuable experience for a career in academic or professional research.You will then write an extended dissertation over the remainder of the first year and during the second year, in which you can examine in depth an area of particular interest to you within the rich field of medical ethics, with the support of a research supervisor.

Documents and information you need: Your degree certificate and transcripts of all relevant qualifications, or a partial transcript if you re still studying, Two academic references, Evidence of your English language test scores, if English is not your first language, An essay of 1,000-1,500 words on a topic relevant to the programme. Academic or professional experience in a relevant field. Pass in a combination of five subjects in GCSE/GCE A-Level examinations including:at least grade A* to C/ 9-4 in English at GCSE or its equivalent, and at least two subjects at grade A*-E in GCE A-level examinations or their equivalent. IELTS band of 6.0, TOEFL of 87, PTE of 60 overall with no less than 56 in any component, CAE of 169
