MSc Functional Omics

1 Year On Campus Masters Program

Imperial College London

Program Overview

This new Master s course is aimed at developing your knowledge of the fundamental techniques used in modern medicine research. You will have the chance to choose an area of medicine that you are interested in. This will form the focus of your research for a literature review, which can also take the form of a grant or PhD proposal, to identify a particular problem in that area that requires resolution, such as a specific disease. In addition, you will conduct a six-month research project that will account for half of your assessment. You will have the chance to choose your project from a list of available projects, mapped to the areas of research in which our staff have expertise. Journal clubs are an important feature of the course: you will work in groups to critically assess published information in chosen areas of modern medicine and will be assessed both on your individual performance and performance as a team.
