Program Overview

This online course is for qualified doctors and nurses working in emergency contexts, including those in a military environment or paediatrics. There are three distinct study routes available. Designed entirely by physicians and nurses working in emergency care, all teaching takes place online using an innovative virtual hospital for problem-based learning. This is to help you fit studying around your shifts. You will access unit resources, including weekly case studies and participate in online discussions with fellow students. You can choose option units that fit with your career focus, such as Psychosocial Emergencies, Legal Aspects of Emergency Medicine, and Major Incident Management.

 Have a minimum of 2 years (post-registration) clinical experience in an area of urgent or emergency care. Entry to the programme requires the student to be a registered practitioner: Doctor (registered with the GMC*) Nurse (registered with the NMC*) Paramedic (registered with the HCPC*) Physiotherapist (registered with the HCPC*) Physicians associate/assistant (registered on the PAMVR*) Pharmacists (registered with the GPC*) Advanced Clinical Practitioners (with associated professional registration*) A telephonic Interview, IELTS score of 7.0 with no element less than 6.5
