As a mental health nurse you will work in partnership with individuals experiencing mental health difficulties from a wide range of backgrounds and age-groups. Approximately 25% of the population are thought to experience some form of mental health problem at any given time. Mental health nurses are the largest profession working in mental health.
A first degree at Honours level, normally, in a related discipline (life sciences, psychology or the social/ behavioural sciences). Graduate attributes associated with learning and research skills will normally be expected. IELTS with scores of at least 6.5 in the listening and reading sections and at least 6.5 in the writing and speaking sections and the overall average score must be 6.5 or above. DBS check required.
