You will be taught by renowned experts who have made significant contributions to various areas of nutrition and metabolism. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to conduct your own research, choosing from a diverse range of topics such as gut microbiota, Polyphenols and cardiovascular disease, meal timing, the importance of breakfast, type 2 diabetes, obesity dietary interventions, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, and the endocrine regulation of appetite and bodyweight.
The program places a strong emphasis on developing your research methodology skills. Through a research project, you will gain hands-on experience in specialized research techniques, as well as proficiency in research design, data handling, and statistical analysis.
Subject-specific lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical work will introduce you to the latest advancements in nutrition, both in terms of theory and technology, and their practical applications. As a program participant, you will become a member of the Health Sciences Research Centre, providing you with opportunities to attend research seminars and lab meetings led by experts who are actively investigating cutting-edge developments in nutrition and health sciences.
Typically, applicants are expected to possess at least a second-class honours degree (although certain programs may require a 2:1) from a recognized university in the UK or abroad. Applicants are required to apply and enroll for the full master's degree.
