Formerly known as the MSc in Exercise as Medicine, the MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology degree has been developed in response to this trend, drawing on the University's internationally recognised research on physical activity and health.The programme is aimed at individuals with a background in exercise science and/or physical activity who wish to enhance their scientific knowledge and skills to be able to effectively promote the uptake of exercise, particularly for patients with hypertension, diabetes, pulmonary, renal and cardiac conditions, or those at risk of metabolic syndrome.
An honours degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent international qualification in sports science or other relevant biological science that contains a substantial element of exercise physiology, such as applied human physiology or physiotherapy. IELTS of 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each individual element.
