These courses provide academic opportunities for physiotherapists to develop the clinical and basic science knowledge, reasoning and analytical research skills required to carry out advanced physiotherapy assessments and deliver optimal care and management of people with musculoskeletal conditions. Both courses offer modules which facilitate the development of advanced physiotherapy knowledge and skills.
Minimum requirements are an Undergraduate Physiotherapy degree with 2nd Class honours (or international equivalent) for physiotherapists qualifying pre-1991, a Diploma in Physiotherapy. Minimum of one years' experience working as a physiotherapist assessing and managing clients with musculoskeletal problems. Registration with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) is mandatory prior to enrolment onto the programme. Professional indemnity cover is required for the programme. This can be obtained by membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP). IELTS -6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in each skill / TOEFL -92 overall with a minimum of 23 in writing and 20 in each of the other skills.
