The LLM Human Rights and Legal Practice course confronts contemporary legal issues surrounding international human rights, offering a comprehensive examination of the subject.

This program, designed and instructed by seasoned legal professionals and human rights activists, equips students with a deep understanding of the theories, issues, and fundamental concepts underlying international human rights, while emphasizing their practical application. Ideal for legal practitioners, aspiring legal professionals, and human rights activists, this course facilitates the development of research and analysis skills, strategic litigation expertise, project management abilities, and advocacy and campaigning skills within the realm of human rights. Problem-based and interactive learning methodologies enable students to grasp key concepts, cultivate the capacity to learn from experience, assimilate and integrate new information, and think strategically.

Typically, applicants are expected to possess at least a second-class honours degree (although certain programs may require a 2:1) from a recognized university in the UK or abroad. For guidance on degree recognition, prospective students can seek advice from the Admissions Office. Individuals without a degree but with relevant professional qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Program Conveners, whose contact information can be found on the program's respective page. Applicants are required to apply and enroll for the full master's degree.
