The MA in Human Rights focuses on the pressing questions of human rights. Can there be space for human rights in world affairs? Who is responsible for the protection of human rights in world politics: Are human rights Western?  These theoretical and practical concerns form the central focus of the degree and are addressed through the compulsory course units. This research route course is designed for students who wish to progress to PhD study. It will appeal particularly to those with an interest in the political, legal and ethical issues that arise from widespread human rights violations globally.
