MChem Hons Chemistry

The Chemistry programmes place strong emphasis on modern, practical chemistry allied to core theory, and are informed by our internationally recognised research in areas such as energy and fuel cells, advanced materials, natural products, and advanced analytical techniques. Putting theory into practice, you will work in modern laboratories and have access to state-of-the-art equipment. The University has have excellent links with leading companies in the UK and abroad, and many of our students opt to take a Professional Training placement year. This gives them an invaluable insight into working life as a chemist and a real edge over other graduates when they enter the job market.
