This course provides a thorough grounding in this exciting field, and is aimed at students with interests in experiment, theory, or both. It draws upon the research strengths at the College in a wide range of topics within the general envelope of controlled quantum dynamics. Recent theoretical and experimental advances mean that we are now able to exert an extraordinary degree of control over individual quantum systems and to prepare and manipulate groups of interacting quantum systems deterministically. A feature of the course is its focus on both theory and experiment, equipping you to enter either avenue of research.
