The Theoretical Physics degree programme allows the exploration of the scope of physics (from quantum to cosmic) with an emphasis on how mathematics the language of the universe underpins and interconnects the subject. You therefore study physics with a mathematical emphasis. There is a possibility of opting out of laboratory work with this programme, and you are free to choose between Lab and No Lab on arrival. The core of theoretical physics is covered in both routes while in the first year No Lab students take additional mathematical physics courses in place of the experimental work. By the end of the first semester in the second year both routes merge
The typical A-Level offer is: A*A*A, IB: 32. Minimum percentage required (12 standard or HSC) 90%. IELTS 6.5 - for visa nationals, with a minimum score of IELTS 6.0 in each element.
