Program Overview

Fluid Dynamics is important to numerous industrial, biological, biomedical and geophysical applications, and this course will provide students with formal training that broadens and deepens their understanding of the discipline, as well as provide a wide range of theoretical and practical tools, and transferable skills that are relevant in a variety of settings including in industry and academia. The course can be taken as a one-year standalone MRes, or as part of the four-year MRes/PhD programme led by the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Fluid Dynamics across Scales.

A first class UK Honour's degree in engineering, physical sciences or applied mathematics, 4 years Bachelor's degree with 75% or CGPA 3.5+, Grade B in English as a First Language, IELTS of 6.5, PTE of 62, TOEFL iBT of 92, ATAS
