The course offers students the chance to delve into a range of research topics and texts from this period including Victorian Studies, Modernism, and American Studies. It will give students the opportunity to read widely and to think broadly across conventional period boundaries, with optional modules ranging from lyric poetry to the graphic novel.
Bachelor's degree with 2:1 honours in English, or a subject in which English plays a significant part; other disciplines may be considered. In order to meet the academic entry requirements for this programme you should have a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme. If you are still studying you should be achieving an average of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme. IELTS 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in reading & writing and 6.0 in listening & speaking. Writing Sample, Personal Statement and References required.
