1 Years On Campus Masters Program

University of Exeter

Program Overview

This MSc is designed for students who want to combine rigorous economic analysis with insights from psychology and behavioural science. It suits graduates from economics or related disciplines who are curious about how people make decisions and how those decisions shape markets, policy, and society.

Curriculum Structure

Semester 1 – Core Economic Foundations
Students begin with Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Econometrics, building a strong foundation in economic theory and quantitative analysis. These modules develop the ability to model individual and market behaviour, understand macroeconomic policy, and work with real-world data using statistical tools.

Semester 2 – Behavioural Focus and Applied Economics
This semester allows students to specialise through modules such as Behavioural Economics, Applied Econometrics, and Economics of Banking. Students explore how cognitive biases, heuristics, and social preferences influence economic decisions, and how these insights can improve policy and business strategy.
