This rigorous MSc offers advanced training in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics, preparing students for careers in policy, finance, and international organisations. Curriculum Structure

Term 1 (Autumn)
Students begin with core theoretical foundations. You’ll study Microeconomics A, which covers consumer and producer theory, and Macroeconomics A, focusing on dynamic models and economic growth. Econometrics A introduces statistical techniques for analysing economic data, using tools like Stata and R.

Term 2 (Spring)
The second term builds on core knowledge with advanced applications. Microeconomics B and Macroeconomics B explore game theory, monetary policy, and open economy models. Econometrics B focuses on time series analysis and causal inference. Students also choose optional modules such as International Trade, Development Economics, or Behavioural Economics to tailor their learning.

Term 3 (Summer)
Students complete a dissertation or research project, applying economic theory and quantitative methods to a topic of their choice. This capstone experience is supported by faculty supervision and may involve policy evaluation, empirical analysis, or theoretical modelling.
