Program Overview

The MSc Public Policy at Bristol engages with contemporary policy concerns and the increasing complexity of the policy environment, equipping you to understand, critically evaluate and develop policy alternatives in local, national and international contexts. It is intended for those aiming for professional careers in policy planning, policy consultancy and policy officer roles within local and national government, international organisations and non-governmental organisations. Students will also explore substantive policy issues such as poverty and social exclusion, public management and organisations, migration and human rights, the economics of public policy, environmental policy and corruption and public policy, with units that consider policy in international and comparative contexts. The programme is delivered by academics who are leaders in their fields, offering opportunities to engage with scholarship, scholarships and student perspectives through multiple formats.
