This program is designed for science graduates interested in pursuing a science-based graduate curriculum that includes a research project and thesis completion under the direction of a faculty member. Practicing forensic scientists may take courses at FIU (and transfer up to six credits from another institution) and conduct the research project in their laboratory.
High school GPA of 3.0/4.0 (US grading scale), Interview with Admissions Representative, Test scores: TOEFL minimum required score of 80, IELTS minimum required score of 6.5 overall band. Letter of Intent/Statement of Purpose., 3 Letters of Recommendation, Resume/CV and Sample research/writing sample. Students with a GPA below 3.0 may be required to submit GRE or GMAT scores. GRE Required: 40% verbal (149) and Quantitative (149 minimum).
