Program Overview

This program is designed around a teacher's schedule, with the majority of the coursework taking place over three consecutive summers. During the academic year between the second and third summer, students choose fall or spring semester to implement a field-based experience capstone research project in their own classrooms.Combine learning online with only 5 weeks on campus for three summers in an inspiring learning environment---3 miles from the ocean, with exclusive use of Phillips Music Center's recital hall, music technology innovations lab, practice studios, and classroom teaching space.

Initial license in music (only required for those applicants who wish to pursue Professional Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education)Undergraduate degree in music education (minimum 2.85 GPA)
