Program Overview

The Master of Arts in Community Music at Judson University is a cutting-edge graduate program with a strong commitment to community outreach, cultural diversity, and inclusive education. The program investigates unique musical aspects in the community and explores its betterment through diverse musical activities. The students will be trained to be leaders of participatory music classes, organizers of community music concerts, and performers/producers to provide vital changes in the community. Those communities include after-school programs, senior communities, local libraries, churches, under-represented people like those with disabilities, various ethnic groups, and more. The regular curriculum of the Master of Arts in Community Music degree utilizes a combination of in-person and online coursework, designed to be completed within four semesters. In addition, the program allows a fully online option with a Hyflex design for working individuals and international students, based on a flexible, part-time participation.
