University of California IrvineThe Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MIE) provides extensive academic and practical experiences for those looking to accelerate their careers as entrepreneurs (innovating to form new companies) or intrapreneurs (innovating within existing companies). The program provides a deep dive into all aspects of the entrepreneurship process, including how to identify new venture opportunities, develop ideas through lean startup methodology, prepare a business plan, assemble a team, raise funds, and launch a new business. It is also rich in experiential learning opportunities within the UCI entrepreneurial ecosystem. Now available in either a 9-month or two-year format, the MIE is the only program of its kind in the UC System.
