MBA Leadership and Crisis Management

2 Years Blended Masters Program

Kellogg School of Management

Program Overview

Leadership captures the essentials of being able and prepared to inspire others. Effective leadership is based upon ideas both original and borrowed that are effectively communicated to others in a way that engages them enough to act as the leader wants them to act. In business, leadership is linked to performance, and any leadership definition has to take that into account. Therefore, while leadership isn't intrinsically linked to profit, those who are viewed as effective leaders in corporate contexts are the ones who increase their company's bottom line. Crisis management is identifying a threat to an organization and its stakeholders in order to respond effectively to the threat. Due to the unpredictability of global events, many modern organizations attempt to identify potential crises before they occur in order to sketch out plans to deal with them. When and if a crisis occurs, the organization must be able to drastically change course in order to survive.
