Program Overview

The MS in Energy Systems Management provides students with the knowledge, skills, and understanding to find meaningful work in the energy sector and to support the evolution of the low-carbon energy future. Electric energy systems are rapidly transforming, making jobs in the energy sector among the fastest growing in the U.S. The MS in Energy Systems Management program will equip students for energy management positions in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to support a low carbon future. Students will gain a foundational understanding of the technical and policy dynamics that are working to modernize the electricity grid. This includes new policy and program development necessary to integrate distributed energy resources such as energy storage and solar that is not only environmentally friendly but also assets to the grid in providing security and reliability.
