Program Overview

The Master of Education Degree and the Graduate Certificate in Instructional Systems Technology (IST) at UNC Charlotte are designed for those who wish to hold instructional design and technology positions in the areas of K-12 and higher education and corporate, government, and military training and human performance improvement. The program offers three concentrations: School Specialist, Training and Development, and Online Learning and Teaching. The program develops professionals who are grounded in instructional technology foundations, principles, theories, applications, and current trends and provides opportunities for students to integrate different forms of technology to enhance teaching and learning. The program is mapped onto standards from AECT, ISTE and NCDPI. The program is 100% online.
