They are prepared to develop and manage efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy to deliver a product or provide a service. As industrial engineers they may create production schedules, engineering specifications, and process flows to understand activities in manufacturing and services. They use their knowledge of engineering, mathematics, information technology, business administration, and management, to focus on the way products and services are designed and manufactured.
