University of Massachusetts AmherstThe Bilingual/English as a Second Language (ESL)/Multicultural Education MEd program is a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive learning community where teachers prepare to help students of all ages in schools, community settings, and workplaces acquire additional languages and literacies while supporting their native language and cultural development. Our students become leaders in second-language and multicultural education and have the option to obtain teaching licenses in ESL or bilingual education.
High school GPA of 3.0/4.0 (US grading scale), Interview with Admissions Representative, Test scores: TOEFL minimum required score of 80, IELTS minimum required score of 6.5 overall band. Letter of Intent/Statement of Purpose, 3 Letters of Recommendation, Resume/CV and Sample research/writing sample.
