The Master of Arts in Counseling Ministry is a one-year, biblically based and academically integrated program that trains students to develop a ministry of people-helping within a variety of ministry contexts.Students from CBU's M.A. in Counseling Ministry program are prepared to serve in congregational ministry, pastoral ministry, chaplain ministry, family ministry and lay ministry. This program features both an on-campus and synchronous online format which allows students to learn from anywhere and incorporate applied ministry experience in the context of their own community.
Bachelor's degree: Degree must be completed prior to starting graduate classes. Official transcripts: Send official bachelor's degree transcript from an accredited college or university with a 2.75* GPA or higher. Additional transcripts may be required to evaluate GPA and prerequisites. Written Statement of Purpose or Interview: Students will have the choice to submit a 500-word maximum essay or select an in-person/virtual program interview. English language proficiency: A minimum score of 80 IBT on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
