Program Overview

The Master of Science Degree in School Counseling is a 51-unit program. Graduates of the program are typically employed in K-12 education to support the academic, social/emotional, and career readiness needs of all students by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model. Program candidates concurrently meet requirements for the Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential required for persons employed as school counselors in public schools. The program is accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
