The MEd degree in School and Community Counseling prepares professionals who are knowledgeable about cultural influences on human development and who can meet client concerns from diverse cultural perspectives. A central goal of the program is to prepare culturally sensitive practitioners who, regardless of the setting, base their practices on scholarly inquiry. Graduates of the school and community counseling program are prepared to serve in a wide variety of professional roles, including counseling and consultation on personal and educational issues and career development and adjustment.
