The M.Ed. in School Counseling leads to endorsement for the AA license as a school counselor, issued by the Department of Education.The mission of the School Counseling Program is to help students acquire core competencies, as well as specialized knowledge and skill, necessary to perform effectively as school counselors. Completion of the program will assist graduates in making application for licensure as a school counselor, National Counseling Certification, and, licensure as a professional counselor (LPC).
Application A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Official transcripts. GPA: A minimum of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0 An appropriate undergraduate foundation in major courses for the degree pursued, and An appropriate standardized test score(s) at or above the published minimum(s). TOEFL iBT: 79 or IELTS 6.0 overall. Interview Three letters of recommendation Statement of purpose Health Insurance A current bank statement from parents or sponsor Proof of TB and MMR immunization before your departure to the USA
