The Department of Professional Counseling offers opportunities for a degree at the MEd level. Within the department, the CACREP-accredited professional counseling program seeks to prepare, educate, and mentor ethical and competent professional counselors who are knowledgeable in issues of diversity and life span development. The program further seeks to enhance development of self-awareness, skills in advocating for clients/students and the profession, consultation and collaboration skills, and clinical practice in a diverse and technological society.

Must have completed an undergraduate degree program at an accredited institution of higher learning in the United States or abroad, must hold a degree considered equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree, $50 USD application fee, Official transcripts from all previously enrolled universities a minimum US grade point average of 3.0 is required, If the original document(s) is not in English, a notarized English translation is required, Proof of English proficiency: TOEFL IBT (Internet based test) - 79, CBT (computer-based test) - 213, PBT (paper based test) - 550, IELTS: 6.0 overall band
