The MEd in Reading program prepares teachers who currently hold a bachelor's degree and a teaching license to become a highly-qualified reading teacher. The program is designed to provide three unique foci in graduate coursework: Teaching as research, writing as literacy, and serving as professionals dedicated to social justice. The MEd in Reading program covers the knowledge and skills required by the Illinois State Board of Education Content Standards for the Reading Specialist endorsement.
