Program Overview

AUM’s College of Education offers three graduate program options in both the Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education specialty areas:

  • Traditional Masters: For those who already hold an Alabama Class B Professional Educator Certificate and wish to broaden their knowledge base in elementary education leading to Class A Certification.
  • Alternative Masters: This master’s degree program is designed for students who do not have a bachelor’s degree in education, but want to teach at the kindergarten through 6th grade level. This degree prepares students to teach K-6 and obtain an Alabama Class A Professional Educator Certificate.
