The College of Education offers two master’s degree programs in each of seven secondary education fields listed below.
The Traditional Master’s in Secondary Education is for those who already hold a valid Class B Professional Educator Certificate. The Alternative Master’s in Secondary Education is available for those who have not earned an undergraduate education degree or teacher certification.
Application A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States, or an equivalent degree. Official Transcripts GPA 2.5 out of (4.0 scale) TOEFL iBT: 61 OR IELTS 5.5 overall. A copy of your valid, current Alabama Teaching Certificate reflecting certification in your proposed graduate teaching field on the Class B level Criminal background check
