Program Overview

The five-year B.S./M.S.Ed in childhood /students with disabilities is a seamless degree program designed to prepare students for teaching certification. Students take graduate courses during their senior year and complete the on-site practicum and internship during their fifth year. Graduates of our program are recommended for New York State certification, and are equipped to teach all subjects in general elementary classrooms as well as in special education or inclusive classrooms.

Application GPA of 3.4 out of (4.0 score) An official secondary/high school transcript indicating courses completed and grades. TOEFL iBT: 80 or IELTS 6.5 overall. One letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor is required. You may submit up to three academic letters. You are also permitted to submit an additional character reference. A brief personal statement or college essay, using either the Manhattan College essay topic or one of the Common Application essay topics. This essay should be roughly 500 words. Copy of Passport Photo Page Bank Statement and Affidavit or Financial Guarantee.
