The Science and Mathematics Education (SMED) program at Oklahoma State University offers Master s and PhD level degrees. Master s level work is primarily intended to help practicing teachers deepen their content and pedagogical knowledge of best practices in the teaching of science and mathematics. Our PhD programs prepare students to be critical consumers and producers of research in science and mathematics education. The mission of the SMED program is to develop exemplary educators who have both broad and deep content knowledge, research experience, and leadership capabilities in the fields of science and mathematics education.
