The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department has been in existence as a separate entity since 1984. It has a faculty of 34 full-time professors, all of whom serve as Graduate Advisers to our 335 graduate students. All our faculty are engaged in research projects, usually externally funded, that produce leading contributions to engineering and science.
